Will the council fit me a wet room?

If you have a disability and need accessibility adaptations for your home, you may be eligible for funding from the local council to have a wet room fitted. Age does not affect eligibility.

How big should a disabled wet room be?

A disabled wet room should be at least 2200mm wide and 2200mm deep to accommodate people with disabilities. If a handicapped shower and changing room with a corner WC is needed, the depth should be 2500mm and the width should be 2400mm.

How long does it take to install a wet room?

It takes approximately 4 days to two weeks to install a wet room, depending on its size and the additional features desired.
